Incident Procedures
When You Have a Slip, Trip, or Fall
I
n Oklahoma City
Call Campus Police at 405-271-4911, and an officer will be dispatched to the location.
Because it may involve Workers’ Compensation or Enterprise Risk Management, the responding officer will file a report.
The responding officer will ensure that medical attention is obtained, if needed.
Employees that require immediate medical attention should go to the Workers’ Compensation website at
https://hr.ou.edu/Employees/Workers-Compensation
to determine where to seek treatment and forms to complete. Sheila Heidelberg is the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator and can be reached at 271-2190 x.44710.
Students that require medical attention should go to the Green Clinic in the Family Medicine Building located at 900 N.E. 10th street. After hours emergencies (if life or limb threatening) are not covered by the Student Health fees and those claims will need to be filed with the student's private health insurance.
Please notify Enterprise Risk Management of any visitor slip, trip or fall at 405-271-3287.
In Tulsa
If necessary, call Campus Police at 918-660-3333 and an officer may be dispatched to the location.
Because it may involve Workers’ Compensation or Enterprise Risk Management, the responding officer will file a report. The responding officer will ensure that medical attention is obtained, if needed.
Employees who require medical attention should go to the nearest Access Medical facility. After hours emergencies (life or limb threatening) should go to the nearest emergency room. If injury occurred on University time, the employee must fill out the Employee's Report of Injury furnished by the supervisor, and follow the procedures.
Students who require medical attention should go to the Student Health Clinic located in Building 1, SAC room 1C76. After hour emergencies (if life or limb threatening) are not covered by the Student Health fees and those claims will need to be filed with the student's private health insurance.
